When starting a YouTube channel, is it best to register it?

As in registering a company (Sole Proprietorship)?
I am wondering if I should also get a WWW domain name?

Or is it better to wait until I’m bigger and decide then?

Thanks in advance guys/gals

“post withdrawn by author”, could you elaborate on this please?

The person who wrote that post has decided to withdraw and delete it.

Anyone can delete their own post within a certain amount of time after it’s been posted.

I think the term you’re looking for is a “DBA”, ie: “Doing Business As.” That’s what you call it when you do business with a fictitious name.

You don’t need a DBA to run a YouTube channel. If you actually get enough views to get a check from YouTube, then you can decide then whether it’s worth filing a DBA and getting a business license, or just getting paid under your real name.

Personally, I would not bother - unless you plan to incorporate, but that’s a long way off.

That was super helpful!
