When you are in the process of setting up remote file transfer capabilities for your employees, you want things to be as simple and secure as possible. With that in mind, which is better, FTPS or SFTP? Today’s SuperUser Q&A post has the answers for a curious reader’s question.
Duuuuhhh ... Ok (I think) I see both have Pros and Cons. And for someone with remote Employees needing to do file transfers it (kind of) looks like the SFTP might be a bit more secure since it would be harder for someone to capture files and read (without some way to translate). But my question(s) would be how hard are they to setup, and then, what are the differences in usage? Or, how simple/complex to use, or what kinds of soft will work with them? (Am I making sense here?)
Recently a friend sent me a photo of a massively huge hoarding in LA.depicting BTSynch being used by MNC corporates for just this purpose. It uses Bit Torrent file transfer protocol. The best thing I have noted is the fact that the files are 100 % identical. I use this method, especially when I want to send large files to my clients across the country or countries.
