Tethering is the act of sharing your phone’s mobile data connection with another device — such as your laptop or tablet — connecting it to the Internet through your phone’s data connection. There are several ways to tether on Android.
When I plug in my phone, a menu appears which asks me if I want to tether my phone, use the microSD card as a flash driver, or just charge. Does this happen in all devices, or am I somehow lucky?
Is it possible to use it as a bridge to get to your wireless network? Right now my computer that is being tethered is connected to the phone but cant reach devices on network.
I have Verizon app for WiFi. Only use when traveling--then rarely. Very costly so I turn it on and off often. I wonder if I could set up usb connection to use without distributing the installed Verizon app? Can't see a problem if only one turned on. Of course, Verizon might catch me, but so infrequent they may not.
can you tether a Nook to an android phone?
