Ssd pcie with b and m key

#1

i’m having some kind of issue
my asus rog strix has a kingston rbusns8154p3128gj says it’s a pcie nvme 128gb
i wanted to replace it with an intel 660p ssdpeknws512g8 v says its pcie nvme 512gb. the GL703GE-ES73 slot is m key
but manual says it can use both sata and pcie nvme 3.0x4

the problem is the kingston has both b and m key while the intel only has m key i would like to know if it’s ok to use or if i need to return intel ssd

You would have to check to see if the motherboard supports b or m, if it supports m then you are good, but it if only supports b then you will need to return.

i guess what i really wanted to know was how come my pcie has 2 slots while every where i look for help says pcie only have one slot M key while sata has b and m or just B
but a YouTube video i just watched explained that the 3x2 has this configuration and the 3x4 just has M key

thanks for your reply and it also helped now i just have to figure out how to clone it without an adapter i have Acronis true image 2019 and an image of my ssd
