Our first real stop on the road to mastering Android is to help you understand how to manage and organize your installed applications, deal with settings and permissions, or get rid of applications you don’t want.
I wanted to say something before I forget, and you may already cover this later in the series: Beware of apps that ask for permissions not originally granted when you get an update. Innocent at 1st when your guard is up, then sneak in something bad downstream when you're not paying attention. Copy all my contact data? NO WAY! LoL
Is it possible to restrict particular app permissions? For example, it seems every app wants full access to our contacts list even if there is no reason for needing the access. Does Android 4.3 have a way to let me deny one privilege request while allowing others? If I'm rooted does that power become available to SU?
