Sleep mode is great for when you are not using your computer, but what do you do when ‘something’ is constantly waking it up? Today’s SuperUser Q&A post has some suggestions to help diagnose, and catch, the guilty culprit.
I found another waker - upper to be wireless accessories like wireless keyboard or mouse. I was having the same sort of issues and found when these were unplugged when the sleep mode was initiated, it was a miracle! it stopped!
Unified remote kept waking my NUC.
The mouse (whether wired or wireless) would seem to be the most likely culprit. An unnoticable movement of the mouse's ball (or photo-optic system) would constitute an input that would wake the computer.
This would be more likely to occur with a wired mouse, because the wire springiness would be a cause for movement.
