The most important shortcut that you missed is put in muscle memory the Search key (Caps Lock) as part of your normal routine. Once you get used to it, you'll nmiss it on another setup. The Cntl+L is best saved for when you want to copy the URL and paste it in another place.

That isn't possible. Deal with a blue icon, that is really the only difference.
