Windows 8.1 integrates OneDrive (formerly SkyDrive) everywhere, even on the desktop. You may want to save all your personal files to OneDrive so they’ll be accessible everywhere, but Windows doesn’t always save to OneDrive by default.

SkyDrive (now OneDrive) started on my pc without a request. It promptly started moving my files which included My Documents, My Pictures, My Videos and my PST files among others. Once it finished all the files had been deleted from my pc and bless their hearts had also been deleted from SkyDrive. And no, they weren't in SkyDrive's recycle bin. Fortunately I had backups though they were a few days out. And from what I see online I'm not the only one to be trashed by this useless piece of software. Oh, and try getting anything that resembles support. Once they realise the data is gone, so is their communication.
