If you use Outlook to check and manage your email, you can easily use it to check your Gmail account as well. You can setup your Gmail account to allow you to synchronize email across multiple machines using email clients instead of a browser.

The only problem I have is that when Outlook opens, I have to click on each folder to syncronise that folder. Send & Receive works without a problem, but it would seem that the synchronisation only happens when you click to open the folder.

I'm having a problem permanently deleting e-mail. I went through and deleted hundreds of e-mails in the browser version of Gmail, then opened Outlook and deleted hundreds of e-mails there. Periodically, the very same e-mails are being automatically re-sent to Outlook. It's driving me nuts!!!!
