Do you need to keep your wireless router in a place that makes it stand out like an eyesore just to maintain a good signal in your home? Then make it ‘disappear’ and restore balance to your décor with this quick and easy DIY trick!

Nice idea, but it looks like it could cause a little heating problem if your router has vents on top. With the top cover, covering all of the vents.

Yeah, major heat problem here. I'm constantly having to remind friends/family/clients not to stack stuff on their routers. It looks nice, but maybe something to act as a spacer and leave it room to breathe?

Your right! I was thinking maybe a thicker book with spacers.

@tcarradine & @ronniesonora - A thicker book with support spacers on the 'back' corners is definitely the way to go on this... ^_^

Why would I want to hide this sexy beast?

Tell you what's great for hiding a router - assuming you want to. Those big canvas photos now so popular. Used to be expensive but there are deals all over the place now for large canvas(ish) photos stretched over a (I presume) wooden frame. The frames are usually quite deep enough (mine are about 2") to hide a slim router. Just need to drill holes in the top and bottom of the frame for ventilation, and work out a safe method of hanging the photo over the router. In my case I found the canvas and wood had no discernable effect on the wifi signal.
