Kind of neat. But I think I'd add white tissue paper (or other light color filtering material) to block direct sight into the cube, and then put different color lights opposite the holes I wanted to light them with, so you'd have multiple colors coming out of different sides. Maybe even go so far as to use two controllers with extra lights to get that little extra off beat to it.
