Legends and Rumors About the Man in the Iron Mask

What I had read about it from The World's Greatest Secrets said he was either the king's twin brother or a paramour of the king's mistress (who happened to involved herself in the arts of black magic, which was a crime by default- so in order to silence this man and kept anyone from ever know about him and find out about the king's mistress shady affairs, the king had him masked for the rest of his life). Either way, it's still a mystery!.
